Ingredients:

  • 5 pounds crawfish, live and purged
  • 3 large onions, quartered
  • 6 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 4 large lemons, halved
  • 8 ears of corn, halved
  • 2 pounds red potatoes, halved if large
  • 1 pound smoked sausage, cut into 1-inch slices
  • 1/2 cup Uncle Dibbz Straight Drop Seafood Boil seasoning
  • Water, enough to cover all ingredients
  • Optional: mushrooms, artichokes, or other vegetables as desired

Equipment:

  • Large stockpot or multiple large pots

Directions:

  1. Prepare the Pot: Use the largest pot you have, fill it about two-thirds full with water.
  2. Season the Water: Bring the water to a boil over high heat, then add the Uncle Dibbz Straight Drop Seafood Boil seasoning, stirring to dissolve.
  3. Add Flavor Enhancers: Squeeze the lemon juice into the pot and drop the squeezed halves in. Add the quartered onions and smashed garlic.
  4. Cook the Vegetables and Sausage: Place the potatoes in the boiling water first, followed by the corn and sausage after 10 minutes.
  5. Boil the Crawfish: Add the crawfish and return to a boil, cook for 5-7 minutes until bright red.
  6. Soak for Flavor: Turn off the heat, let the pot stand for 10-15 minutes.
  7. Drain and Serve: Drain the water using a colander, then serve the boil spread out on a covered table or in serving dishes.
  8. Enjoy: Serve with lemon wedges and melted butter for dipping.
